The ultimate test of HOPEs strategy and approach
is in demonstrable improvement in the health, quality of
life, educational attainment, and self-sufficiency of its
beneficiaries. Here are a few results from 2005:
- Over 2100 families received assistance for household
and educational expenses for their children in HOPE schools
- 630 street children obtained daily free breakfasts and
all educational expenses to attend government schools
- 106 of 112 Grade 10 students passed the National Examinations
with scores high enough to qualify for college prep or
junior college
- 113 of 135 graduates from the class of 2004 had been
placed in jobs
- Several HOPE graduates who are now attending university
gave back to the school by holding summer enrichment classes
for 200 students
- Six new small businesses were started by HOPE graduates
- Land has been obtained for the new HOPE University College,
the master plan has been approved, and detailed building
plans are underway
