Governance - HOPE Enterprises is an Ethiopian Voluntary Organization providing hope for the needy via efforts of rescue, rehabilitation and development since its founding in 1971.

Staff - HOPE Enterprises employs over 200 people in its ongoing operations. These committed staff members foster the development of every beneficiary on the road to self-sufficiency and self-determination.

History - HOPE had its beginnings in the early 1970s when the Rev. Jack Smith, a pastor from the United States, opened a home for 20 street children in Addis Ababa, providing full care, schooling, and skill training.

The Founders' Story - In the early 70s, Ethiopia was in epochal transition. One outcome of this circumstance was the marginalization of the most vulnerable with homelessness, beggary and streetism being rampant.
